The George Washington Elementary School PTO invites the community to attend a special and free event led by internationally-recognized innovator of Natural Playscapes Rusty Keeler.

The event will take place at the George Washington Elementary School Auditorium on Tuesday, February 19th. To accommodate more interested community members,  two presentations have been scheduled at 3:30pm and 6:00pm.

The George Washington Elementary School is located at 67 Wall Street in Kingston.

Natural Playscapes can allow for an innovative play area so to expand the usable parts of the schoolyard, and provide new opportunities for outdoor classroom activities.    Natural Playscapes are a wonderful solution to transform appropriate areas by using native plants, logs, boulders, rock and lots of trees that represent a natural place such as a forest. They are designed with the intent of bringing children and people back to nature – and are created in urban areas. They offer a wide range of open-ended play options that allow children to be creative and use their imagination as well as provide developmental benefits to children, rehabilitation programs and all people in general.

The event is free and open to the public, although donations to support the George Washington PTO will be accepted.
